If you'd like to cancel your Groundwork bank account, reach out to Groundwork Support via the chat widget at the bottom corner of your screen, and we will assist you with your account cancellation. You can also contact us by emailing [email protected]


If you have an account balance, you will need to zero out the balance in order for the account to be closed. 

  • If there is a remaining balance, you can transfer out any remaining funds using BillPay or an external bank account transfer.
  • If there are any pending ACH transactions, you will want to wait until they are complete before transferring out that remaining balance.
  • If there is a negative balance, you will be responsible for bringing your account to zero.


Once we have closed your account, you will receive a confirmation email and a final statement for your records.
