You can export all of your online transaction data into a CSV file that is easy to import into QuickBooks Online. To do this, go to your Settings page and click QuickBooks Export.
This export contains all online payments, deposits to your bank account, refunds, withdrawals from your bank account and fees. It does not include offline payments that have been recorded in Groundwork.
The QuickBooks export is intended for bookkeepers and accountants to be used for reconciling the following:
- Payments to you and deposits made to your bank account
- Transactions made between your bank account and your Groundwork escrow account.
The QuickBooks export is a ledger of activity of your Groundwork escrow account. The escrow account temporarily holds funds as they travel from the payer to your bank account and vice versa. We transfer the balance to your bank account automatically daily.
|Payment Description||The description of the transaction. If it is a refund, chargeback, fee or deposit to your bank account, it will include this in the description. Otherwise it is a payment from a payer into your escrow account.|
|Type||The type of transaction according to the figure above. I.e. payment in, payment out, transfer out or transfer in. Fees are considered payments out.|
|Team||The team or program this transaction is associated with. Not applicable for deposits to bank since these combine multiple payments.|
|Player||The player this transaction is associated with. Not applicable for deposits to bank since these combine multiple payments.|
|Paid Date||The date this transaction completed.|
|Payment Method||The payment method used.|
|Net Change ($)||The net change to your escrow account for each transaction (can be positive or negative). If this is a Payment In, it does not include transaction fees. It is the amount that will ultimately be deposited into your bank account.|
You can reconcile deposits into your bank account with payments received by filtered this list on the 'Type' column. Include Payments In and Transfers Out.
You can reconcile transactions between your bank account and escrow account by filtering on Transfers Out (e.g. deposits to your bank account) and Transfers In (e.g. for refunds, chargebacks and associated fees).
