Groundwork will never charge you for anything you do not explicitly approve.
Groundwork will send an email requesting your approval before charging you if a payment you've already approved has had the amount increased or the due date moved earlier, or if a brand new payment has been added.
And we will send you an email notification if a previously approved payment has been decreased, moved to a later due date, or deleted. These are informational only and do not require approval.
How to Approve Payments
If payments you have already approved have been changed and your approval is required, Groundwork will send you an email like this:
To approve the payment changes, click Click Here to Review & Approve. This will take you to your Groundwork account.
If you are not already logged in, you will be asked to do so; and once you're in you'll be prompted to approve the new payments.
The new or changed payments will be listed in the box. Here's how to approve them:
- Choose a payment method from the drop-down menu. If you want to add a new payment method, click the blue Add New Payment Method link. (Note: once you approve the payments, you can always change your payment method later)
- Check the box below the dropdown menu that says "I agree to be charged automatically on the dates listed above".
- Click the blue OK button.
These payments are now approved to be charged on the bill date. You'll be notified by email three days before being charged. You can stop a payment from being charged or change the payment method anytime before it is charged.
